Infrared sensors, nightvision, the fact that your TV remote works even though you dont see any light beams shooting out of it. Infrared light is everywhere, we just cant detect it.
But, the nightvision on a camera is a good example of IR technology. What really happens is the camera actually has an infrared diode which emits a bright beam of IR light out. Of course everything still seems dark to you b/c you cant see infrared, but in reality everything is actually lit up with infrared light. This is a good example....
